They have a unique life cycle that includes a metamorphosis from symmetrical larvae to the adult flat, bottom-dwelling form. Fishing Tips: Gulf Flounder can be caught using live bait such as shrimp or small fish, or with artificial lures that mimic their prey. They are known for their delicate, white flesh and are a popular target for both recreational anglers and commercial fisheries. However, they are closed for harvesting from October 15th to November 30th.
